Photography/Digital Imagery, 2 years
No admission in august 2009 From the act of taking the photo to the finished imageThe two-year Photography/Digital Imagery Programme helps you develop the way you create images in terms of both techniques and personal expression. During the programme you work with digital photographic techniques in which you learn to handle the image from taking the photograph to the end result in everything from minicam to large format. We teach in modern well adapted premises with the very latest technology and equipment. Great emphasis is put on the student’s personal involvement in the visual creative process, and instruction is largely given in project form. Lectures alternate with practical assignments, and students work as closely to real life conditions as possible, either individually or in groups. Discussions, projects and lecturesUnderstanding the underlying criteria of a good image is of vital importance, which is why our lectures emphasise discussions about photography, the expression of the images, history and the technical requirements set on an image for different types of publication. We also have several major projects that are run during the programme and involve external photographers, designers and publicists. Through that process you become well prepared for real working life.
Photography in a larger contextYou will work in a fully equipped digital photography lab and have the opportunity to use the available printing equipment available and cooperate with students on the printing programmes. We have a modern and spacious photographic studio, in which the work flow in photography and image processing is completely integrated. In our digital lab we use several sizes of printers with various RIP solutions for printing FinePrint/exhibition prints.
